Job summary

Sun Life is seeking an experienced Compliance professional in Hong Kong to investigate suspected non-compliance cases related to agency, develop and deliver training programs, and update policies to address market conduct concerns. You will ensure regulatory requirements are communicated and reflected in reports to Management.

The role requires 8–10 years of experience in training or insurance, fluency in English and Mandarin, and strong communication, collaboration and influencing skills.

Qualifications

• University degree; 8–10 years of experience, preferably in training, financial planning or insurance
• Familiar with insurance-related regulatory requirements
• Insurance-based qualifications such as FLMI, CFP beneficial
• In-depth knowledge of agency operations, sales practices, MCV business and market conduct
• Strong training sense for program development and delivery
• Expertise in social media compliance and governance tools
• Ability to analyze data from control perspective and prepare management reports
• Strong communication and people skills; collaboration and influencing能力; fluent in English and Mandarin

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve suspected non-compliance cases/incidents related to agency
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs and awareness materials to agency
• Develop and update compliance policies, manuals & procedures for agencies
• Ensure agencies are updated on regulatory requirements
• Prepare regular and ad-hoc compliance reports for Management and Regional Office
• Conduct routine thematic reviews, field reviews, and control testing of sales practices
• Identify conduct risks and establish internal controls to prevent misconduct
• Participate in ad hoc projects/tasks as assigned

Job Description:

• Develop and deliver compliance training programs and awareness materials to agency to foster a strong compliance culture within the company
• Develop and update relevant compliance policies, manuals & procedures for agencies to address any market conduct concerns and risk/control issues
• Ensure agencies are kept abreast of updated regulatory requirements
• Prepare regular and ad-hoc compliance reports to the Management and our Regional Office
• Conduct routine thematic reviews, field reviews, and control testing of sales practices
• Identify potential conduct risks and establish internal controls to prevent misconduct
• Participate in and handle ad hoc projects/tasks assigned from time to time
  

Job Requirements

• University degree with over 8 to 10 years of experience, preferably in training, financial planning or insurance industry
• Familiar with insurance related regulatory requirements
• Insurance based qualifications such as FLMI, CFP also beneficial
• In-depth knowledge of agency operations, sales practices, MCV business and market conduct
• Good training sense in terms of program development and delivery
• Expertise in social media compliance and governance tools
• Capability and experience in analyzing data from control perspective and also good at composing presentation deck and management report
• Strong communication and people skills, as well as good collaboration and influencing skills
• Fluency in spoken and written English and Mandarin
