Job summary

Sun Life is seeking a driven Business Strategy & Planning professional in Hong Kong. You will help formulate recruitment and growth strategies, analyse performance metrics, and provide actionable insights to guide senior management decisions.

Your role also includes coordinating cross‑functional projects and supporting events to drive business outcomes. The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in analytics, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and proficiency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Marketing or related disciplines.
• 5 - 7 years of experience in business planning, sales analytics, agency management, or performance reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience in preparing management reports, dashboards, and reviews for senior stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI or BI tools is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese.

Job Description: Business Strategy & Planning

• Support the formulation, execution and review of MCI agency recruitment and business growth strategies.
• Analyze recruitment performance, agency productivity and market trends to identify growth opportunities, performance gaps and business challenges.
• Provide business insights and recommendations to support management decision‑making, strategic planning and prioritization of recruitment initiatives.
• Support business planning and growth initiatives through performance monitoring, market analysis and strategic recommendations.

Performance Management & Analytics

• Own and enhance recruitment, contest,productivityand agency performance reporting frameworks to support KPI management and business reviews.
• Prepare,analyzeand interpret management reports,dashboardsand business updates, highlighting key trends, exceptions,risksand recommended follow‑up actions.
• Consolidate,validateand reconcile data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy,completenessand integrity of business information.
• Translate complex data into clear observations and practical recommendations for senior management discussions.

Business & Project Management

• Coordinate with relevant departments and business partners on strategic initiatives, reporting requirements and project implementation.
• Support the execution of business initiatives through budget administration, initiative tracking and performance monitoring.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancement and operational efficiency through data analysis and business insights.

Event & Operational Support

• Provide operational support for recruitment events and related initiatives whererequired, including pre-event coordination, on‑site support, participant registration,logisticsarrangementand post‑event follow‑up.
• Manage event-related reporting, attendancetrackingand post‑event effectiveness assessment to support future business planning.

Job Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Marketing or related disciplines.
• 5 - 7 years of experience in business planning, sales analytics, agency management, or performance reporting, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
• Experienced in preparing management reports, dashboards, and business performance reviews for senior stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of Power BI or other BI tools is an advantage.
• Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across functions and manage multiple priorities.
• Detail‑oriented with strong data validation and quality control capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Chinese.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience in agency recruitment, distribution business, event management, or business development is an advantage.
