Job summary

Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited (HSITP) is seeking an experienced professional to attract global technology companies and manage tenant admissions at the Lok Ma Chau Loop. The role involves due diligence, government funding advisory, and liaising with universities, R&D institutions and industry players.

You will build relationships with governments, technology organisations and talent, coordinate stakeholders, and support HSITP initiatives with a strong customer-service

Qualifications

• University or post-graduate degree preferably in Business, Science, Engineering and related disciplines.
• A PhD in life sciences-related disciplines is a definite advantage.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in innovation and technology sectors, with at least 2 years in sizeable pharmaceutical companies or health-care-focused funds.
• Hands-on experience on healthcare product regulatory approvals is a definite advantage.
• Experience assisting companies to apply for Hong Kong and Mainland government funding is a plus.
• Good understanding of global, GBA and China life sciences industry landscape; microelectronics, AI and robotics are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Solicit interest from technology companies, research institutions, R&D centres, technology investors, incubators, accelerators and other ecosystem players globally, especially in microelectronics/semiconductors, life sciences, new energy, new materials, AI and robotics.
• Develop and maintain relationships with governments, science and technology organisations, technology companies, start-ups and leading institutions to facilitate HSITP initiatives.
• Administer the tenant admission process, including coordination with internal and external stakeholders, due diligence, and timely responses to applicants.
• Assist clients in applying for or processing government and HSITP funding schemes and advise on regulatory approvals.
• Collaborate with universities and R&D institutions for new business, talent recruitment and operational matters at HSITP.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Job description

Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park Limited ("HSITP", a wholly owned subsidiary of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation, is engaged in the planning, building, management, operation and maintenance of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation & Technology Park at the Lok Ma Chau Loop ("the Loop").

With a site area of 87 hectares, the Loop will be a hub for vigorous technology R&D and collaboration among top-notch international R&D institutions, technology enterprises and talent. The Loop will provide necessary infrastructure, facilities and service support for the innovation and technology (I&T) community; with associated higher education, cultural and creative and other complementary facilities.

The role will be responsible for attracting global technology companies and relevant ecosystem players to land in HSITP, administering the admission process and due diligence, and to provide best-in-class service to cater to clients’ needs, such as assisting clients in application for government funding.

Responsibilities

• - Solicit interest from technology companies, research institutions, R&D centres, technology investors, incubators, accelerators and other technology ecosystem players globally, especially in microelectronics/semiconductors, life sciences, new energy, new materials, AI and robotics sectors, and land them to HSITP
• - To serve client needs such as developing new business, collaborating with universities and R&D institutions, talent recruitment, operation matters in HSITP, technology trial at HSITP, and other client needs
• - To administer the admission process for tenants, including coordination with different internal and external stakeholders, performing due diligence process, and provide timely response to applicants
• - To assist clients to apply for or process various government and HSITP funding schemes and offer advice on applying for regulatory approvals relating to innovation and technology sectors
• - Develop and maintain relationships with governments, science and technology organisations, technology companies, start-up communities, academia and leading institutions to facilitate development and implementation of HSITP initiatives
• - Perform any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

Requirements

• - University or post-graduate degree preferably in Business, Science, Engineering and related disciplines. A PhD in life sciences-related disciplines is a definite advantage
• - Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in innovation and technology sectors, with at least 2 years experience in sizeable pharmaceutical companies or health-care-focused funds
• - Hands-on experience on healthcare product regulatory approvals is a definite advantage
• - Experience on assisting companies to apply for Hong Kong and Mainland government funding is a plus
• - Good understanding on global, GBA and China’s life sciences industry landscape. Understanding on microelectronics and semiconductors, new energy, new materials, AI and robotics industries is a plus
• - Experience working with China is required
• - Strong business acumen, problem-solving and customer service skills with excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
• - Self-initiated, attention to details and ability to analyse complex problems and come up with actionable solutions and execute them
• - Outgoing, proactive, and ability to work with diverse types of stakeholders, strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• - Candidates with less experience may be considered as Assistant Manager
