Job summary

CUHK Medical Centre Limited is seeking a Manager, Building Management to lead a frontline maintenance team and oversee planning, execution, and compliance of building projects in a demanding environment. The role emphasizes strong project management, coordination with departments, and adherence to statutory requirements.

The candidate should have a Building Surveying degree and professional accreditation (MHKIS/MRICS), with extensive experience in inspection, maintenance, and large-scale

• Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying or equivalent.
• MHKIS/MRICS qualification or equivalent; RPS preferred.
• At least 5 years’ experience in building inspection, repairs & maintenance, and fitting-out/A&A projects; 3 years post-chartership.
• Solid project management experience as client’s representative on complex fitting-out/A&A projects.
• Experience in facilities planning/design, tender docs preparation, tendering, site supervision and contract administration.
• Familiar with international and local building management standards, compliance, and licensing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage frontline maintenance team to handle day-to-day maintenance orders
• Responsible for the planning, management, and implementation of fitting out and renovation/A&A projects
• Support department users in project planning and design
• Provide professional input in repair and maintenance of building structure and fabric, including water proofing
• Formulation of plans and carry out of building inspections and preventive maintenance
• Ensure legal compliance in areas of Building Ordinance and works
• Attend emergency calls, perform off-site on call duties and work on irregular hours when and as required
• Perform any other duties (in the capacity as Manager, Building Management) as assigned by supervisor(s) from time to time

Job Requirements

• Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying or equivalent
• Qualification of MHKIS/MRICS or equivalent is mandatory. RPS qualification is highly preferred
• At least 5 years’ experience in building inspection, repairs & maintenance, and fitting-out / A&A projects, including 3 years of post-chartership experience. Experience in institutional building and licensed premises is preferred
• Solid experience in project management (in the capacity of client’s representative) of complex fitting-out and A&A projects is required
• Experience in facilities planning/design, tender documents preparation, tendering, site supervision and contract administration
• Familiar with international and local building management standards, statutory compliance, and licensing requirements
• Independent, analytical, self-motivated, a good team player and able to work under pressure
• Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
• Proficient in MS office applications; general knowledge and experience on AutoCAD and BIM are preferred

Compensation and Employment Terms
