Job summary

Bang Hong Electrical & Engineering Pte. Ltd. is seeking a talented M&E Project Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team in Ang Mo Kio North-East Region.

This is a full-time position based in Singapore, focusing on managing the financial and contractual aspects of M&E projects to ensure delivery within budget and on schedule. You will prepare cost estimates, monitor expenditures, handle variations and closeout documentation while liaising with suppliers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must have a Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budget management and contract administration.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with Singapore construction industry standards and codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for M&E projects at various stages of development.
• Conduct detailed quantity surveying and cost analysis for mechanical and electrical installations.
• Manage contract documentation, terms and conditions, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Monitor project expenditure and provide regular cost reporting to project management and senior stakeholders.
• Conduct variations assessment and prepare documentation for contract variations and claims.
• Liaise with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors to obtain quotations and negotiate prices.
• Perform site visits to verify work progress and ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Maintain detailed records of project costs, invoices, purchase orders and other financial documentation.
• Support project teams in identifying cost-saving opportunities and value engineering initiatives.
• Prepare final accounts, reconciliation of costs and project closeout documentation.

About the role

Bang Hong Electrical & Engineering Pte. Ltd. is seeking a talented M&E Project Quantity Surveyor to join our growing team. This is a full-time position based in the Ang Mo Kio North-East Region. As an M&E Project Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of mechanical and electrical projects. What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline


• Minimum 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in quantity surveying, preferably in M&E or mechanical and electrical projects


• Strong knowledge of cost estimation, budget management and contract administration


• Proficiency in quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office applications


• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail


• Familiarity with Singapore construction industry standards, regulations and building codes


• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and contract documents


• Strong communication and negotiation skills to work effectively with clients, contractors and stakeholders


• Professional accreditation such as RICS, AIQS or equivalent is highly desirable


• Experience with construction contracts such as IIA or SIA standard forms is preferred
