Job description

About the role

This is a full-time, one-year contract role, subject to renewal based on performance and business requirements. The Logistics Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics flows in support of material availability, order execution, and customer delivery commitments. As part of the logistics team within Supply Chain Operations, the role ensures that inbound, outbound, intercompany, and cross-business-unit shipments are executed reliably and according to agreed schedules. The role coordinates daily logistics execution with internal stakeholders and external logistics partners, including carriers, warehouses, suppliers, contract manufacturers, and 3PL providers. It supports shipment planning, transport coordination, documentation readiness, delivery tracking, issue resolution, and logistics data transparency. The Logistics Planner contributes to stable logistics operations by ensuring shipment status visibility, timely escalation of risks, accurate documentation, and disciplined follow-up on open logistics topics. The role balances service, cost, lead time, compliance, and risk within defined logistics processes and escalation paths. The role also supports audit readiness, cargo damage handling, insurance claim follow-up, and physical inventory accuracy activities such as cycle counts and yearly cycle count audits where applicable.

Key responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate inbound, outbound, intercompany, and cross-business-unit shipments in line with material availability, order execution, and delivery schedules
  • Coordinate with carriers, warehouses, 3PLs, suppliers, and contract manufacturers on shipment timing, delivery windows, documentation, lead times, status updates, issue resolution, customs risks, capacity constraints, warehouse bottlenecks, and operational service gaps
  • Monitor shipment status, identify delays, documentation gaps, customs issues, warehouse bottlenecks, or transport risks, and escalated deviations through defined escalation paths
  • Support local logistics requirements, warehouse and forwarders interfaces and operational logistics processes according to defined standards and local requirements
  • Support internal and external audits by providing logistics documentation, transaction evidence, and follow-up actions; coordinate cargo damage cases with forwarders, including gap analysis, corrective actions, and insurance claim filing
  • Maintain logistics data, shipment status, and operational reports, and provide transparency on transport lead times, delivery reliability, open issues, and logistics performance
  • Align logistics execution topics within Supply Operations, Finance, Tax, Trade Compliance, Quality, and external logistics partners
  • Resolve operational procurement escalations and coordinate corrective actions with internal or external stakeholders
  • Follow defined logistics processes, support standard ways of working, identify recurring operational issues, and contribute to improvements in data quality, documentation accuracy, and execution reliability
About you
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in logistics planning, transport management, warehouse or 3PL coordination, customs support or supply chain operations; ideally in an external manufacturing or high-tech environment
  • Strong understanding of inbound and outbound logistics, cross-business-unit shipments, transport lanes, warehouse or hub concepts, Incoterms, customs and trade compliance requirements, packaging, lead times, and logistics cost drivers
  • Experience working with internal stakeholders such as Finance, Tax, Transportation, Order Management, IT, Trade Compliance, Supply Operations, and external logistics partners
  • Experience in shipment tracking, exception handling, documentation coordination, and operational follow-up
  • Working knowledge of ERP, transport management, warehouse management, or logistics reporting tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a structured and data-driven working style
  • Experience maintaining logistics data, operational KPI inputs, identifying recurring issues and supporting improvement opportunities
  • Experience supporting logistics audit documentation, cargo damage handling, insurance claim follow-up, or warehouse inventory activities such as cycle counts is preferred.
  • Time Management ability to handle difficult and demanding situations and multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge in Project Management, Presentation, Advance Excel, support automation & change management.
