Job summary

HAECO Hong Kong is seeking a Duty In Charge to oversee production delivery, manage safety, workload and compliance, and drive timely resolution of issues on the shop floor. This role reports to the Duty Manager and requires strong leadership in a high‑intensity MRO environment.

You will support engineers and technicians, coordinate ADD compliance, and ensure efficient resource allocation while actively pursuing safety and efficiency initiatives and staff development.

Qualifications

• Holder of HKAR 66 B1 or B2 License or equivalent.
• MS Office proficiency.
• Minimum 10 years of line/base maintenance experience.
• Minimum 2 years in customer service and maintenance planning.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin or Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety as the number 1 priority.
• Assist engineers/mechanics with technical inquiries and escalate when required.
• Act as ADD coordinator to ensure ADD compliance with requirements.
• Immediately report any incidents during the shift including LTIs and aircraft incidents.
• Manage safety and compliance of production teams under control.
• Allocate correct resources for operation.
• Maintain awareness of aircraft under section control.
• Maximize the utilization of Production teams.
• Ensure clear handover between shifts.
• Participate in safety and efficiency projects.
• Develop staff in the team.

Position Description

Reporting to the Duty Manager, the Duty In Charge is responsible for production delivery of their section. This includes managing safety, workload and compliance, OTP or ETS delivery and timely resolution or escalation of issues as they arise.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain Safety as Number 1 priority.
• Assist Engineers/Mechanic in his team with technical enquiries and elevate to when required.
• Act as the role of ADD coordinator in LMCG to ensure ADD compliance with requirements.
• Immediate reporting of any and all incidents that occur during their shift including LTIs, a/c incidents and others as instructed by management.
• Manage safety and compliance of production teams under his control.
• Allocation of correct resources for operation.
• Maintain awareness of aircraft under his section control.
• Maximize the utilization of his Production teams.
• Ensure a clear and unambiguous handover between shifts.
• Participate in both safety and efficiency projects.
• Development of staff in his team.

What You’ll Need

1. Job Requirements and Competencies

• Maintenance Experience on Freighter aircraft (B744, B748, B777, A330 and/or B767). Issue CRS on aircraft defect and transit handling.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team to ensure High quality customer service.
• Problem solving skills to address customer inquiries, resolve issue promptly, and provide solution to technical difficulty.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet desire aircraft schedule.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skill to effectively communicate with customers, internal teams and stakeholders.

2. Qualification and Experience

• Holder of HKAR 66 B1 or B2 License or equivalent (FAA, EASA).
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience in line/base maintenance of an airlines engineering department or an aircraft maintenance repair organizations or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of customer service related and Maintenance planning field.
• Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin or Cantonese.
