Job summary

A consulting firm is seeking a skilled Linux / UNIX Administrator in Hong Kong. This role involves performing systems administration, troubleshooting, and monitoring of Linux environments. Candidates should have a relevant degree and over 3 years of experience with Linux systems such as RedHat, AIX, or Solaris. Proficiency in shell scripting and a good command of both Chinese and English is required. The position may also require after-hours work for urgent issues. Competitive package offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform Linux System administration including System setup and configuration, Software installation, patch upgrade, System monitoring and Health Checks.
• Responsible for System troubleshooting and performance turning.
• Manage capacity monitoring on System and applications.

Qualifications

• High Diploma or Degree Holder in Information Technology or related discipline.
• Minimum 3+ years working experience in Linux System administration.
• Solid knowledge in Technical Infrastructure environment.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux RedHat / IBM AIX / Sun Solaris System.
• Proficiency in Shell Scripting.
• Experience in IBM, HDS, EMC or other Storage vendor's mid‑range and high‑end Storage is an added value.
• Good knowledge of Middleware such as Websphere Application Server.
• Self‑motivated, and willing to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Willing to work out of office hours for urgent production issues supporting.
• Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English.
