Job summary

China International Water & Electric Corporation (HK) seeks a Legal & Compliance professional to handle daily legal affairs for engineering projects, provide risk assessments, and support disputes, arbitrations, and litigation management. The role also helps refine the company's compliance framework, internal controls, and risk management processes, with a 5.5-day roster.

Candidates should have 3+ years in legal/compliance in construction/engineering, LLB or higher, and a professional

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or above.
Professional legal qualification in Mainland China or Hong Kong.
Minimum 3 years of legal and compliance experience in the construction/engineering industry; candidates with less experience will be considered for Assistant Legal & Compliance Officer.
Familiar with engineering-related laws, regulations, and dispute resolution mechanisms in both Hong Kong and Mainland China.
5.5-day alternating weekly roster due to industry requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist in handling daily legal affairs for engineering projects, providing professional legal advice and risk assessments.
Assist in managing engineering disputes, arbitrations, and litigations.
Assist in establishing and refining the company's compliance system, internal control processes, and risk management mechanisms.
Perform other legal and compliance duties assigned by the company.
