Job summary

Y-Intercept (Hong Kong) Limited in Central, Hong Kong is seeking a senior Infrastructure Architect to design and implement highly available data center and cloud infrastructure for trading and research. The role emphasizes low latency, high performance, and scalable deployment across on-prem and cloud environments.

The candidate should bring at least 15 years in data center and cloud infra, with leadership experience, strong networking, AWS, and storage expertise, plus a track record mentoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or STEM field.
• 15+ years in data center and cloud infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in networking, virtualization, cloud platforms (AWS), and storage solutions.
• Expertise in multicast data distribution, Solarflare/Mellanox NIC optimizations, PTP time synchronization, and Corvil like tools.
• Experience with CPU pinning, NUMA optimization, IRQ affinity, BIOS tuning, overclocked servers, FPGA integration and Kernel configuration for latency-sensitive workloads.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef).
• Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes and tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack/Splunk
• Experience in exchange connectivity and proximity hosting.
• Understanding of market data feeds, FIX protocol, and colocation environments.
• Strong organizational skills,attention to detail,and excellent writtenand verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and lead a team, mentor engineers, and collaborate with traders and developers.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement robust infrastructure solutions for trading (performance focus) and research (scale focus).
• Lead data center migrations, domain decoupling, and performance optimization initiatives.
• Implement solutions to monitor latency, detect anomalies, troubleshoot performance issues quickly, and gain a single source of truth for complex trading environments (e.g. Corvil).
