Job summary

Eastern Sea Construction HK Limited is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Junior Site Engineer to support commercial and site operations. The role involves measurement, tender quantities, valuation of works, and checking quantities with subcontractors.

You will visit sites, assist in subcontractor payments, prepare simple drawings, attend meetings, and maintain site records. The ideal candidate has a Higher Diploma or above in QS or Civil Engineering, at least 2 years' experience, and

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or above in Quantity Surveying, Building Studies, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline
• 2 years or above relevant experience preferred (fresh graduates with strong interest will also be considered)
• Basic knowledge of quantity surveying practices and construction processes
• Ability to read construction drawings and perform simple measurement
• Experience working with subcontractors on measurement and payment issues
• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and Competent in MS Office (especially Excel)
• Willing to work on site and under pressure
• Responsible, detail-oriented, good communication and interpersonal skills
• Holder of Green Card / Construction Industry Safety Training Certificate preferred

Responsibilities

• Carry out simple quantity surveying duties, including measurement (taking-off), preparation of tender / quantities, and valuation of works
• Check and agree quantities / measurements with subcontractors
• Assist in preparation and checking of subcontractor interim payment applications and variation assessments
• Regularly visit construction sites to monitor progress, take site measurements, and keep progress records / project's site photo
• Assist in preparation and updating of simple construction drawings / documents
• Attend site meetings, progress meetings and coordination meetings; prepare simple meeting notes if required
• Maintain and update site records, drawings, variation records and related documentation
• Liaise with site team, subcontractors and other project stakeholders
• Support other QS and site coordination duties as assigned
• Self-motivated and able to handle both office and site duties
