Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is seeking an ITAssistant to join the Information Systems team in Hong Kong. The role focuses on day-to-day colleague IT support and second-line guest support, reporting to the Cluster Director of IT.

The position is based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within the Information Systems Department. The ITAssistant will install and configure hardware and software, monitor systems, troubleshoot faults, support new applications, and liaise with vendors to meet hotel

Qualifications

• Diploma holder of relevant disciplines or above.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience of the same capacity in international 5-star luxury hotels.
• Well organized and structured.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, open mind of different culture, friendly, approachable and sociable.
• Motivational with enthusiastic character with excellent listening skills.
• Good command in English, knowledge in other languages is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.
• Monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organisation.
• Troubleshooting workstations problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults.
• Providing support, including procedural documentation.
• Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
• Responding within reasonable time to all support calls.
• Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time.
• Provide full range of network support and administration services including hardware and software, LAN/WAN infrastructure, IP Telephony, systems and applications.
• Maintain an updated log of all issues.
• Liaise with local vendors and suppliers as required to meet the requirements and requests of our operations and guests.
• Communicate all important information to management and colleagues.
• Other activities as deemed appropriate by the IT&T Manager and Cluster Director of IT.
