Job summary

Mclaren Consultancy Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an IT Technical Support Officer to deliver deskside and remote support, troubleshoot hardware, software and mobile devices, and maintain IT asset inventory.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on IT support, strong Windows/macOS, Office 365, networking fundamentals, and fluency in English and Cantonese; the successful candidate will help enforce IT security, SOP adherence, and participate in deployment projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in IT support, focusing on deskside or end-user computing environments.
• Strong expertise in diagnosing and repairing PCs, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
• Solid technical proficiency in setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and macOS.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and common corporate productivity tools.
• Proven ability to provide application support in alignment with SOPs.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, switches, routers, and basic network diagnostics.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prompt onsite deskside and remote technical support, efficiently troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and mobile device issues for end-users.
• Maintain an up-to-date IT asset inventory, conduct routine preventive maintenance, and document troubleshooting steps to enrich the internal knowledge base.
• Ensure strict adherence to IT security policies, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
• Perform user PC patch management, hardware replacements, mobile device management, and basic network monitoring.
• Configure, build, and deploy Windows system images utilizing Windows Deployment Services.
• Contribute effectively to various IT infrastructure deployment and technology-led projects.
