Job summary

China Everbright Bank Company Limited in Hong Kong seeks an IT Administrator to manage desktop, systems and network operations, ensuring high availability and security to support banking services.

The role covers troubleshooting, installation/upgrade of IT infrastructure, system monitoring, capacity planning and liaison with vendors for project delivery, with a focus on reliability in a demanding financial environment.

Qualifications

• Degree holder in IT or related disciplines; MSCE/MCITP/CCNA/CCNP preferred.
• Minimum 1–2 years of solid banking IT experience; familiarity with Veeam and BackupExec is a plus.
• Strong Windows server, Exchange, clustering, maintenance and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with OceanStore, 3PAR SAN and tape library administration.
• Knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Oracle, SharePoint, Windows Server, and VMware.
• Experience with Trend Micro and Symantec antivirus solutions.
• Exposure to trading/data networks and providers (Reuters RMDS, Bloomberg, etc.).

Responsibilities

Job description

Perform the roles as Administrator of desktop, systems and network to make sure the operational needs are satisfied;

To perform troubleshooting when failure or problems are spotted;

Handle installation and upgrade of IT infrastructure so as to meet new business and operational requirements;

Managing IT infrastructure to offer high-availability, accessibility and security;

Ensure stability of LAN & WAN;

Perform desktop, systems and infrastructure maintenance, support and troubleshooting;

Conduct system monitoring, performance tuning and capacity planning;

Evaluate new products and technology, plan and implement business solutions;

Liaise with and manage vendors for project, maintenance and support;

Develop, maintain and implement desktop, systems and infrastructure policy and standard;

Maintain & operate the batches of core banking systems;

Perform system backup and set up contingency procedure for system failure;

Participate and handle ad hoc duties assigned by the Management;

Job Requirements:

Degree holder or above in Information, Technology, Computer Studies or related disciplines in IT field; Preferable with MSCE/MCITP/CCNA/CCNP;

Minimum 1-2 years of solid experience in Banking industry; Experience in Veeam and BackupExc backup;

Strong in Windows system, Exchange mail, clustering, maintenance and troubleshooting;

Good knowledge and hands on experiences in Ocean Store, 3PAR SAN and tape library administration and maintenance;

Familiarity with OS platforms: UNIX, Suse Linus, Oracle, MS SharePoint, MS windows Server, MS SQL server clustering and VMware;

Knowledge in managing antivirus solutions of Trend Micro and Symantec;

Extensive exposure if infrastructure service and application delivery, as well as support of data voice network VoIP, Real Time Data, BT Dealer Board and Direct Access;

Good understanding of trading and market data facilities such as Reuters RMDS, Bloomberg, Summit, SmartStream. AA Stock, ET-Net, CCASS, DCASS, AMS/3 OG, NG, FIX, etc.

Practical working experience in server and network infrastructure, including telecommunication, domain service, DHCP, DNS, Fortinet, Hillstone firewall, CISCO switch, router firewall and VPN;

Exposure in implementing trading and data network connections with providers such as Bloomberg, Reuters, ICLNet, Factiva, etc.

Able to work under pressure and can work independently;

Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).

Candidates with more experience can be considered as Senior Manager.
