Job summary

Randstad Hong Kong Limited is seeking an IT Operations Lead for its client, a premier international bank in Hong Kong. The role oversees EUC, VDI, and IT Service Desk operations to ensure high-quality support and SLA adherence.

You will manage endpoint systems, patching, cyber hygiene tools, and day-to-day system administration for front-office treasury users and critical trading applications. Experience in financial services, ITIL familiarity, and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years IT operational experience in large enterprises, financial services preferred.
• 2–3 years of direct supervision or IT lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise EUC, Trade Floor Support, and IT Service Desk to meet SLAs.
• Manage endpoint management systems, VDI, patch management, and cyber hygiene tools.
• Handle daily IT operations, maintenance, admin tasks, and Tier 2/3 incident triage.
• Oversee ITAM, inventory of hardware, software licenses, and assets.
• Provide high-touch support for front-office treasury users and trading apps.
• Collaborate with Project Governance and Head to execute regional IT projects.
• Coordinate with APAC hubs and Head Office for deployments and handovers.
• Manage third-party vendors, SLAs, and external integration partners.

You will join the IT Planning Department within the Asia Pacific Division. This high-performing team is responsible for delivering end-to-end technology and service support across regional operations. You will work closely with regional offices, head office teams, and project governance groups to ensure seamless IT service delivery and robust trading environment stability.

• Supervise End User Computing (EUC), Trade Floor Support, and IT Service Desk Operations to ensure SLAs and high-quality technical support standards are met.
• Manage endpoint management systems, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), automated patch management platforms, and cyber hygiene security tools.
• Execute daily IT system operations, infrastructure maintenance, system administration, and Tier 2/3 incident troubleshooting.
• Oversee IT Asset Management (ITAM), maintaining an accurate inventory ledger for hardware, software licenses, and IT infrastructure assets.
• Provide high-touch technical support for front-office treasury users and mission-critical trading applications (including Refinitiv / LSEG, Bloomberg Terminal, EBS, and Turret / Dealer Board systems).
• Partner with Project Governance teams and the Team Head to execute regional IT infrastructure projects and system rollouts.
• Collaborate with APAC regional hubs and Head Office teams for system deployments, operational handovers, and ongoing technical support.
• Manage third-party vendor relationships, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), maintenance contracts, and external system implementation partners.

skills & experience required.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technology discipline.
• Overall Experience: Minimum 6 years of IT operational experience within large enterprise environments, preferably within financial services or banking.
• Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of direct team supervision or IT lead experience.
• Technical Skills (EUC & VDI): Hands-on expertise in desktop support, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI / VMware / Citrix), Microsoft 365 administration, and endpoint security controls.
• Technical Skills (Trading Infrastructure): Proven experience supporting market data platforms and financial trading applications (e.g., Bloomberg, Refinitiv / LSEG, EBS, Turret systems).
• Process Frameworks: In-depth knowledge of ITIL service management frameworks and operational controls (certifications such as ITIL, CCNA, or MCITP are highly preferred).
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in English and Cantonese (written and spoken).
