Job summary

PERSOL in Hong Kong seeks an IT Operations Assistant to support daily computer systems operations. You will monitor servers and network health, performing health checks and assisting in incident management per defined procedures.

Responsibilities include mounting backup tapes, delivering to offsite storage, and performing regular system restores. Site inspections at headquarters and remote sites are required, with on-call support after hours.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in operation of computer systems for Windows Server, NetBackup, blade servers and SAN storages.
• Diploma in Computer/IT or equivalent from a HK registered institution.
• At least 1-year relevant post-qualification experience in computing.

Responsibilities

• Preform server room operations including systems and network monitoring and health checks.
• Assist in problem management, escalate and remediate per defined procedures.
• Mount backup tapes and deliver to offsite storage.
• Perform site inspections at headquarters and remote sites.
• Conduct system restore from backup tapes regularly.
• Be on call during non-office hours to provide operation support.
