TalentQuest HR Limited is seeking a technical support and integration specialist to oversee client onboarding integrations and end-to-end testing across trading and settlement functions. You will investigate incidents, collect logs and traces, and work with Engineering, QA, and DevOps to resolve issues efficiently.
The role requires strong problem-solving, SQL, Linux, and API skills, plus clear communication.
Oversee and provide technical support for integration projects involving new clients and external system providers. This includes API setup, connectivity verification, data transformation, and end-to-end message flow testing across key brokerage functions such as account onboarding, trading, clearing, market data, and reporting. Ensure integrations meet technical requirements, internal guidelines, and documentation standards for ongoing support.
Observe and investigate system alerts, unusual behaviours, and operational incidents across brokerage platforms, including account management, trading, risk management, ledger, and settlement systems.
Conduct detailed root cause investigations and troubleshoot technical issues related to account opening, fund transfers, order processing, trade execution, margin calculations, risk management, and financial records.
Replicate reported problems in UAT environments and collect relevant technical evidence, such as application logs, traces, database results, and message transactions, to determine whether issues originate from data discrepancies, system settings, application services, integrations, or external systems.
Work closely with Engineering, QA, DevOps, and Product teams to share comprehensive incident details, including reproduction procedures, supporting evidence, and event timelines, enabling efficient investigation and resolution.
Take part in incident review sessions and postmortem discussions, identify recurring technical or operational weaknesses, and recommend, implement, and monitor corrective actions.
Develop, update, and optimize operational documentation, including troubleshooting manuals, runbooks, SOPs, monitoring dashboards, and performance indicators, with the aim of improving system stability and minimizing recurring incidents.
Support change management activities, deployment checks, and release assessments by reviewing and testing system updates to ensure business-critical operations remain unaffected.
Deliver incident investigation findings, root cause explanations, and progress reports to operations management and relevant stakeholders.
Manage escalations and facilitate collaboration across different teams when incidents involve multiple systems or require specialized engineering support.
Be available to work on a rotating shift schedule, covering either an early morning to early afternoon shift or a late morning to early evening shift, based on local working hours.
Solid understanding of financial trading and brokerage processes, including clearing, settlement, margin, and risk management. Knowledge of account lifecycle management, order processing, P&L, financial records, and reconciliation processes is highly relevant.
Strong problem-solving and technical investigation capabilities, with the ability to analyze application logs, follow transactions across multiple services, utilize debugging utilities, execute database queries, interpret stack traces, and identify underlying system behaviour.
Practical knowledge of distributed computing environments, microservices architecture, messaging and queuing mechanisms, API connectivity, database technologies, and inter-service dependencies.
Good command of SQL, including an understanding of database structures and the ability to develop queries for troubleshooting and data verification purposes.
Hands-on experience with Linux environments, shell scripting, command-line utilities, and log investigation.
Basic understanding of network infrastructure, middleware technologies, and communication protocols such as FIX, MQ, and REST.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical matters into clear explanations for operations teams and management.
Capable of managing multiple incidents simultaneously, setting priorities, and making sound decisions within time-sensitive and high-pressure situations.
Strong attention to technical documentation, operational procedures, and process consistency.
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
