Job summary

Global Executive Consultants Ltd. represents a Leading Consumer Bank in Hong Kong, seeking an experienced technology leader to oversee deskside modernization, VDI rollout, and endpoint security across the enterprise.

You will drive end-to-end planning for Windows desktop platforms, manage security baselines, BYOD workflows, and cross-functional collaboration with development and operations teams. Senior level, 8+ years in Windows/infra, with banking experience preferred.

Qualifications

• University graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of solid footprint in Microsoft Windows desktop platform management and infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years in a management capacity within banking or regulated financial institutions strictly preferred.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, PMP, ITIL, or related Microsoft/VMware qualifications are highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills; fluent in English and Chinese preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deskside modernization & migration oversight for Windows desktop platforms, VDI, secure remote access and end-of-life asset replacements.
• Endpoint defense & vulnerability mitigation, patching, and remediation of platform dependencies.
• Workplace engineering & BYOD support with adherence to data leakage prevention standards.
• Provide technical guidance to development and operations teams to optimize network connectivity and identity systems (AD/M365).
• Drive workflow improvements using Cloud, GenAI, and IoT to boost productivity by 30%+.
• Assist in budgeting and MSP/vendor governance to meet SLAs.

Job Duties

• Deskside Modernization & Migration Oversight: Direct end-to-end planning and hardware/software rollout for Windows desktop platforms, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), secure remote access, and end-of-support life cycle asset replacements.
• Endpoint Defense & Vulnerability Mitigation: Govern endpoint security baselines, apply critical patches, troubleshoot intricate platform dependencies, and systematically eliminate identified system vulnerabilities.
• Workplace Engineering & BYOD Support: Architect secure workplace enablement architectures, managing and configuring Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) tools while ensuring rigid adherence to data leak prevention (DLP) frameworks.
• Cross-Functional Network & Platform Collaboration: Provide technical advice to application development squads and operations teams to streamline network connectivity, identity systems (Active Directory/M365), and automated ticketing logic.
• Workflow Optimization via Emerging Tech: Proactively challenge legacy workflows to redesign and automate business-as-usual procedures utilizing Cloud, GenAI, and IoT platforms to drive organizational productivity by 30%+.
• Financial Governance & Vendor Stewardship: Assist in the preparation of team operational budgets (OPEX/CAPEX) and strategic technical proposals. Monitor Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and external vendors to maintain rigid Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Job Requirements

• Education: University graduate in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Minimum 8 years of solid footprint in Microsoft Windows desktop platform management and infrastructure engineering, with at least 3 years in a management capacity within banking or regulated financial institutions strictly preferred.
• Technical Mastery: Deep hands-on knowledge of Windows enterprise server topologies, deskside hardware arrays, network load balancing, and secure certificate bindings. Sound awareness of Cloud, AI, and IoT integration structures is an advantage.
• Credentials: Certification holders of CISSP, CISA, PMP, ITIL, or related Microsoft/VMware qualifications are highly desirable.
• Attributes: Peerless analytical troubleshooting logic, strategic communication skills to present to senior management forums, and strong consensus-building negotiation attributes.
• Language: Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese; fluency in Putonghua is preferable.
