Phillip Securities Group seeks an IT Infrastructure and Security Manager to lead a hands-on, resilient team responsible for a 24/7 global trading platform. You will drive cloud strategy (AWS/Huawei), network connectivity, incident management, and strong security controls while partnering closely with the Head of IT.

Based in Hong Kong, you will ensure regulatory compliance (HKMA/SFC), guide DR/BCP planning, and mentor junior engineers in a fast-paced financial environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT infrastructure and security, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in financial institutions, brokerages, or fintech preferred.
• Strong hands-on technical skills with incident management and cloud architecture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee 24/7 global trading infrastructure ensuring high availability and zero downtime.
• Manage hybrid/multi-cloud environment (AWS and Huawei Cloud) and on-prem data centers.
• Manage regional networks and third-party connectivity across HK, SG, US offices.
• Act as first-line escalation during incidents; diagnose, hot-fix, and coordinate resolution.
• Lead and mentor a team of infra and security engineers; translate strategy to execution.
• Collaborate with Head of IT on future IT architecture, automation, and cybersecurity frameworks.

Job description

We are a regulated financial institution operating a 5-day, 24-hour global trading platform. We are seeking a highly resilient, technical, and versatile IT Infrastructure and Security Manager to oversee our Mission-Critical infrastructure and cybersecurity domain.

This is NOT a purely administrative desk job. We need a hands‑on leader and a troubleshooting expert (a "generalist" with deep technical roots) who can guide junior engineers, act swiftly during high‑pressure production incidents, and collaborate directly with our Head of IT on strategic infrastructure design, cloud architecture, and technical problem‑solving.

Key Responsibilities

24/7 Global Trading Infrastructure: Maintain and optimize high‑availability infrastructure supporting global trading sessions (spanning HK, SG, US, and EU). Ensure zero downtime across internal networks and external market connections.

Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Management: Oversee and architecture our multi‑cloud ecosystem (AWS & Huawei Cloud) combined with our on‑premises private Data Centers.

Regional Network & Third-Party Connectivity: Manage robust regional networks connecting Hong Kong, Singapore, and US offices. Oversee critical connections with third‑party vendors, liquidity providers, and financial counterparties.

Hands‑on Incident Management: Act as the first line of escalation and a technical anchor during critical system or security incidents. Lead the team to diagnose, hot‑fix, and resolve complex issues immediately.

Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide, train, and level‑up a team of junior/mid-level infrastructure and security engineers. Translate high‑level blueprints into execution plans for the team.

IT Architecture & Strategy: Work back‑to‑back with the Head of IT to design, review, and implement future‑ready IT infrastructure, automation pipelines, and robust cybersecurity frameworks.

Financial Compliance: Align infrastructure and security controls with financial regulatory requirements (e.g., HKMA, SFC guidelines) and maintain rigorous Business Continuity Plans (BCP/DR).

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum 8 years in IT infrastructure and security, with at least 3 years in a team‑lead or managerial role, preferably within a Financial Institution, Brokerage, or Fintech firm.

Trading System Exposure:

Prior experience or strong technical familiarity with electronic trading systems, market data feeds, or low‑latency financial environments is highly preferred.

Technical "All‑Rounder" Skills:

Cloud:

Solid experience managing production environments in both AWS and Huawei Cloud.

Networking:

Deep knowledge of corporate and data center networking, firewalls, routing, and cross‑border connectivity (VPN, Leased Lines, SD‑WAN).

Security:

Practical knowledge of security hardening, vulnerability scanning, EDR, SIEM, and identity management.

Mindset & Working Style:

Extreme ownership, analytical problem‑solving skills, and the ability to stay calm and resourceful under intense pressure during system outages.

A "lead‑by‑example" management style—willing to deep‑dive into logs and configurations alongside the team when needed.

Language:

Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin).
