Seven Elements Investment Holdings Limited in Hong Kong seeks an experienced IT Manager to plan, build, and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including network architecture, servers, and cloud services. You will oversee core systems such as trading, asset management, and CRM, ensuring stability, security, and performance with robust backup and DR solutions.
The role requires 8+ years in IT with leadership experience and strong regulatory knowledge for licensed financial firms.
1. IT Infrastructure Development & Management
Plan, build, and maintain the company's overall IT infrastructure, including network architecture, servers, cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure), hardware, and collaboration tools
Establish and manage the technical architecture of core business systems including trading systems, asset management systems, and CRM systems
Ensure system stability, security, and performance; develop backup and disaster recovery solutions
2. Information Security Management
Establish and enforce comprehensive information security policies and procedures, including access control, data encryption, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management
Implement appropriate cybersecurity controls in accordance with the SFC's Cybersecurity Guidelines and Code of Conduct to prevent and detect unauthorized intrusions and security incidents
Manage software lifecycle, apply security patches promptly, and avoid using end-of-life software
Establish audit trails for critical systems and servers to ensure complete audit records
3. Regulatory Compliance Support
Ensure IT systems and data management comply with SFC licensed corporation requirements, including transaction record keeping, client data protection, and reporting obligations
Ensure systems comply with IA requirements for insurance brokers regarding record keeping, system access rights and logs, and inspection readiness
Support regulatory inspections and audits by preparing relevant technical documentation
Manage third-party IT service providers to ensure outsourced services meet regulatory standards
Lead technical evaluation, vendor selection, and tendering processes for IT projects
Manage IT vendors and service providers, including performance monitoring, contract management, and cost optimization
Coordinate and implement system upgrades, migrations, and new technology deployments
5. Daily Operations Support
Serve as the primary internal contact for all IT matters, providing technical support to all departments
Provide regular reporting to management on IT performance, risks, and ongoing initiatives
Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, assets, configurations, and processes
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or above in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
8+ years of IT experience, with at least 2-3 years in an IT Manager or System Administrator role
Prior IT management experience in the financial industry (securities/asset management/insurance brokerage preferred)
Technical Skills
Solid technical knowledge across infrastructure, networking, cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure), cybersecurity, and endpoint management
Familiarity with IT security frameworks and best practices (e.g., access control, endpoint protection, backup, and disaster recovery)
Strong project management experience, including vendor evaluation, tendering, and implementation of IT initiatives
Compliance Knowledge
Familiar with SFC Type 1, 4, 9 licensing requirements for IT and cybersecurity for licensed corporations
Understanding of IA requirements for insurance brokers regarding systems and record keeping
Knowledge of HKEX listing rules regarding risk management and internal controls as they relate to IT
Language Skills
Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English (both written and spoken)

Ability to work independently and take ownership of IT operations in a lean team environment
Excellent communication and cross-departmental collaboration skills
Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft, or equivalent) are a plus
