Job summary

Job description

• Partner with the commercial team as the primary technical authority during the pre-sales cycle, leading discovery sessions to deeply understand prospective clients' legacy systems, workflows, and technical requirements.
• Co-lead client engagements by delivering compelling, customized product demonstrations and technical deep-dives that translate complex architecture into advisory business value.
• Execute technical proof-of-concept (POC) sessions to technically qualify leads and validate proposed solutions for institutional prospects brought in by the sales team.
• Own the technical, Information Security (InfoSec), and architectural components of complex RFI/RFP responses, ensuring technical accuracy and strategic alignment with client requirements.

2. Solution Architecture & Technical Integration

• Design institutional-grade workflows encompassing order routing, liquidity aggregation, algorithmic execution, and post-trade service models.
• Architect seamless integration strategies for clients utilizing standard financial protocols and modern web connectivity, including FIX, RESTful APIs, and the WebSocket protocol.
• Manage the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phase for client integrations, including overseeing the configuration, support, and troubleshooting of dedicated client-facing UAT environments.
• Translate bespoke client requirements into clear, actionable functional and technical specifications (e.g., API documentation, system architecture diagrams) for global product and engineering teams operating in Agile environments.

3. Technical Account Management & Client Success

• Act as the ongoing technical account manager for the region’s most complex and high-value institutional clients.
• Liaise effectively with internal teams (Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Compliance) to ensure a flawless pre-sales to post-sales handover and seamless deployment.
• Oversee the technical onboarding, API certification, and network connectivity of new liquidity providers and trading venues for key accounts.
• Stay at the forefront of industry trends across FinTech, traditional wealth management, multi-asset trading, blockchain, and AI.
• Continuously monitor competitor tech stacks and market dynamics to inform LTP’s product positioning and go-to-market strategy.
• Provide structured, technical market feedback to product and development teams to drive continuous improvement and product roadmap prioritization.
• Develop robust technical sales enablement tools, API usage guides, collateral, and training materials for the broader commercial team.

Requirements

Experience & Education

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10+ years of experience in a Pre-Sales, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Account Management role within FinTech, prime brokerage, or institutional trading platforms.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing technical infrastructure solutions for buy-side and sell-side institutional clients.

Domain & Technical Expertise

• Deep understanding of traditional brokerage technology, including trading workflows, OEMS, and market data infrastructure etc.,
• Extensive hands-on experience designing API integrations in financial services, specifically utilizing FIX, RESTful, and WebSocket protocols.
• Hands-on experience managing UAT to go-live lifecycles, maintaining dedicated UAT environments, and successfully guiding institutional clients through integration testing and production go-live phases.
• Strong knowledge of multi-asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives) alongside a solid understanding of virtual assets/cryptocurrency market structure.
• Familiarity with the Hong Kong financial market regulatory environment (e.g., SFC regulations, KYC/AML technical frameworks).
