Job summary

IO TECH SOLUTIONS LIMITED in Hong Kong seeks a high-caliber Technical Lead for our Front Office Market Connectivity team. You will balance hands-on technical excellence with leadership to ensure the performance, scalability, and regulatory compliance of mission-critical systems.

You will collaborate with business users, vendors, and cross-functional front-office engineering and support teams to drive evolution of our trading connectivity platform and to mentor engineers across regional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 8 years of proven experience delivering robust IT systems within banking, securities, or financial institutions.
• Deep understanding of front-office environments, with strong knowledge of OMS/EMS platforms and Cash Equities trading concepts.
• Exceptional engineering skills with exposure to low-latency architecture, high-performance messaging patterns (e.g., LMAX Disruptor), and FIX/Exchange protocols.
• Proficient in Agile/Scrum, modern CI/CD practices (e.g., Maven build processes), and enterprise engineering tools (Git, JIRA).
• Advanced analytical, architectural design, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex technical debt.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication; native or professional English and Mandarin proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end software delivery, overseeing task planning, sprint execution, and requirement prioritization across multiple stakeholder groups to guarantee timely, high-quality releases.
• Partner with adjacent development teams to architect, align on, and thoroughly document the design of interrelated functions and system integrations.
• Establish engineering best practices by conducting rigorous code reviews, providing technical guidance, and mentoring team members to elevate overall engineering capabilities.
• Proactively evaluate system architecture and performance, delivering strategic recommendations to optimize platform efficiency, latency, and stability.
• Lead comprehensive unit, functional, and automated testing strategies to ensure the highest standard of code resilience before deployment.
• Ensure absolute adherence to CSI policies, mandatory training tracks, and strict institutional and regulatory requirements for both yourself and your team.

Requirements

• Advanced analytical, architectural design, and problem-solving skills, combined with the capability to manage complex technical debt.
• Superb stakeholder engagement, communication, and interpersonal skills. Native or professional proficiency in both English and Mandarin is mandatory to effectively collaborate across regional teams and business units.
