Job summary

Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong is seeking an IT Assistant to join the Information Systems team. Based at The Landmark in Hong Kong, you will handle day-to-day colleague IT support and second-line guest support with supervision from the IT Manager.

The role requires a Diploma in a relevant discipline, at least 2 years’ experience in international 5-star luxury hotels, and strong communication skills. English fluency is essential; additional languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in the same capacity in international 5-star luxury hotels.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, open mind of different culture, friendly and sociable.
• Good command of English; knowledge of other languages is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications.
• Monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organisation.
• Troubleshooting workstation problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults.
• Providing support, including procedural documentation.
• Supporting the roll-out of new applications.
• Responding within reasonable time to all support calls.
• Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time.
• Provide full range of network support and administration services including hardware and software, LAN/WAN infrastructure, IP Telephony, systems and applications.
• Maintain an updated log of all issues.
• Liaise with local vendors and suppliers as required to meet the requirements and requests of our operations and guests.
• Communicate all important information to management and colleagues.
• Other activities as deemed appropriate by the IT Manager and Cluster Director of IT.
