Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong is seeking an IT Assistant to join the Information Systems team. The role supports day-to-day colleague IT needs and second-line guest support, reporting to the IT Manager.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma or higher and has at least 2 years of experience in international 5-star luxury hotels, with strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in English is essential, and knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder of relevant disciplines or above.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in the same capacity in international 5-star luxury hotels.
• Well organized and structured.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, open mind to different cultures, friendly and sociable.
• Motivational with enthusiastic character and excellent listening skills.
• Good command of English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks.
• Troubleshoot workstation problems and diagnose hardware/software faults.
• Provide support and create procedural documentation.
• Support the roll-out of new applications and respond to support requests.

About The Job

Based at Mandarin Oriental The Landmark, Hong Kong within Information Systems Department in Hong Kong, the IT Assistant is responsible for day-to-day colleague IT support and second line guest support. The IT Assistant reports to the IT Manager.

As IT Assistant , you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
• Monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of an organisation
• Troubleshooting workstations problems and diagnosing and solving hardware/software faults
• Providing support, including procedural documentation
• Supporting the roll-out of new applications
• Responding within reasonable time to all support calls
• Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time
• Provide full range of network support and administration services including hardware and software, LAN/WAN infrastructure, IP Telephony, systems and applications
• Maintain an updated log of all issues
• Liaise with local vendors and suppliers as required to meet the requirements and requests of our operations and guests
• Communicate all important information to management and colleagues
• Other activities as deemed appropriate by the IT Manager and Cluster Director of IT.
