Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong invites an I.T. Assistant to join the Information Systems team at our luxury hotel. You will handle day-to-day colleague IT support and second line guest support, reporting to the Cluster Director of IT.

Based in Hong Kong, the role requires a diploma or above and at least two years’ experience in international 5-star hotels. You should be well organized, with strong communication, cross-cultural awareness, and English proficiency; other languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma holder of relevant disciplines or above.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in the same capacity in international 5-star luxury hotels.
• Well organized and structured.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, open mind to different cultures, friendly and sociable.
• Motivational with enthusiastic character and excellent listening skills.
• Good command of English; knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications.
• Monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of the organisation.
• Troubleshoot workstation problems and diagnose hardware/software faults.
• Provide support and contribute to procedural documentation.
• Support the rollout of new applications.
• Respond to support calls within a reasonable time.
• Prioritize and manage multiple open cases.
• Provide full range of network support including LAN/WAN, IP Telephony, systems and applications.
• Maintain an updated log of issues.
• Liaise with local vendors and suppliers to meet requirements.
• Communicate important information to management and colleagues.
• Fulfill other tasks as deemed by IT Manager and Cluster Director of IT.
