Unknown bank in Hong Kong is seeking an Assistant Investment Operations Manager to support trade settlements across asset classes, liaise with custodians, brokers, and internal teams, and monitor liquidity and risk.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 3–5 years in custody/fund operations, with strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• 3–5 years of custody or fund operations experience, especially with mutual funds/ETFs.
• Strong understanding of financial markets.
• Ability to work independently under pressure with multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Basic understanding of derivatives (preferrable)

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end trade settlements across asset classes (equities, fixed income, FX) with timely matching, confirmation and settlement.
• Liaise with custodians, brokers, counterparties, fund administrators, and internal teams to resolve settlement exceptions.
• Monitor settlement risk and exposure and support controls to reduce operational risk.
• Oversee cash management including cash positioning/forecasting, funding of settlements, and liquidity monitoring across portfolios/funds.
