Job summary

Charterhouse Hong Kong is assisting a leading global investment bank to fill a Cash Equities Settlements professional role in Hong Kong. The role focuses on overseeing APAC settlement operations, reconciliation, and offshore governance.

The ideal candidate has 5–15 years in investment banking operations, strong data analytics, and experience driving automation. Fluency in Cantonese and English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline.
• 5–15 years of experience within investment banking operations, securities settlements, custodian banking, or post-trade operations.
• Strong understanding of cash equities settlements, reconciliations, payments, and settlement control processes.
• Experience managing or overseeing offshore operations teams is advantageous.
• Exposure to asset servicing, corporate actions, client asset protection, and cash management processes would be beneficial.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience in data reporting, process improvement, automation, or workflow optimization.
• Knowledge of Python, Alteryx, AI tools, VBA, or other automation solutions is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent Cantonese and English are required.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary oversight and governance contact for offshore Cash Equities Settlements team across APAC markets.
• Monitor settlement risks, prepare management reporting and KRIs, and leverage data analytics for improvements.
• Partner with Operations, Front Office, Finance, Compliance, Technology, and offshore teams to drive issue resolution.
• Oversee cash equities settlements, investigate settlement exceptions, and manage trade lifecycle.
• Perform and supervise asset servicing, corporate action payments, client asset segregation, funding, margins, and bank reconciliations.
• Drive automation and process enhancements through data analysis and technology solutions.
• Support regulatory, audit, and risk management requirements with strong controls.

They are seeking an experienced Cash Equities Settlements profeesionalto join their Operations team in Hong Kong, supporting regional post-trade activities and offshore governance functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary oversight and governance contact for the offshore Cash Equities Settlements team, ensuring efficient and controlled settlement operations across APAC markets.
