Job summary

Apartmentary in Hong Kong is seeking an Interior Design Manager to lead full residential renovations from initial client meeting to handover. You’ll work with our on-site project managers to ensure the design is built on time and to budget.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in residential interior design, including leading full home renovations from concept to handover.
• Experience on Hong Kong residential projects with local regulations knowledge.
• Confident producing and reading construction drawings.
• Strong layout planning, materials and finishes, and furniture selection.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SketchUp, or similar.
• Organised and able to run several projects simultaneously.
• Fluent in Cantonese and English; Mandarin is a plus.
• Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Meet clients, understand their living styles, and translate into design briefs and concepts.
• Prepare design proposals and presentations, and guide clients through them.
• Produce and review construction drawings.
• Guide clients through materials, finishes and furniture choices.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors and suppliers to ensure builds match designs.

About Apartmentary

Apartmentary is a home renovation company founded in Seoul in 2016. We've renovated more than 2,000 apartments and raised US$44 million in Series C funding from investors including SoftBank and Samsung Ventures.

We opened in Hong Kong in 2022, and since then we've delivered more than 50 homes and grown to a team of close to 20. Our designers and our in-house project management team work under one roof, and every design is checked against how it will be built, what it will cost and how long it will take before the client signs off. We're growing, and our Design Managers are at the centre of that.

About the role

As an Interior Design Manager, you lead full home renovations from the first client meeting to handover, and you're the client's main point of contact the whole way through. You won't be running construction on your own, since our project managers work alongside you on site. This is a full-time role based in Hong Kong, working from our Causeway Bay office and on client sites.

What you’ll do

• Meet clients, understand how they live, and turn that into a design brief and concept
• Prepare design proposals and presentations, and walk clients through them
• Produce and review construction drawings
• Guide clients through materials, finishes and furniture
• Work with our project managers, contractors and suppliers so what gets built matches the design
