Job summary

ASK IT LIMITED in Hong Kong seeks a Senior Designer / Designer (Interior Design) to lead residential interior projects from concept through final presentation. The role combines bespoke home design with generative AI tools, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3ds Max to accelerate ideation, layouts, and high-impact visuals.

The candidate will mentor junior designers, coordinate with clients and suppliers, and ensure design feasibility within local HK residential constraints.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Spatial Design, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of residential interior design experience for Senior Designer; 1–3 years may be Designer.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI design tools for ideation and rendering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max/V-Ray and Adobe Photoshop.

Responsibilities

Senior Designer / Designer (Interior Design, AI-equipped)

Job Overview:
As a Senior Designer / Designer (Interior Design), he/she will lead and execute residential interior design projects from initial concept through to final presentation. The role focuses on bespoke home design, utilizing generative AI design tools alongside traditional drafting and 3D software to accelerate concept ideation, spatial planning, and high-impact visual presentations.

Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end residential interior design process, including concept generation, spatial layout, mood board creation, and material selection.

Utilize generative AI tools or interior-specific AI software to rapidly produce realistic design concepts and visual variations for client presentations.

Translate client briefs into practical residential layouts and articulate precise AI prompts to capture specific living styles, lighting atmospheres, and materiality.

Develop detailed 2D technical drawings, floor plans, and construction drawing sets using AutoCAD, as well as 3D models using SketchUp or 3ds Max.

Perform post-processing, image enhancement, and visual touch-ups using Adobe Photoshop.

Liaise with residential clients, contractors, and material suppliers to ensure design feasibility, aesthetics, and project schedules are met.

Mentor junior team members on design standards and AI tool adoption (for Senior Designer level).

Requirements:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Spatial Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.

Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience in residential interior design for Senior Designer; candidates with fewer years of experience (e.g., 1-3 years) will be considered as Designer.

Practical hands-on experience or working familiarity with generative AI design tools for interior ideation, prompt engineering, and visual rendering.

Proficient in industry-standard software including AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max/V-Ray (or similar rendering tools is preferred), and Adobe Photoshop.

Strong understanding of local Hong Kong residential layout constraints, building materials, cabinetry details, and on-site construction practices.

Good communication, presentation, and client management skills in Chinese (Cantonese) and English.
