Job summary

One Advisors is engaged by a global banking institution to identify a candidate for an Infrastructure Manager role. The position reports to the Global Infrastructure Lead sitting at the headquarters, and will work as an individual contributor supporting business-critical physical and virtual infrastructure across the APAC region.

You will lead Azure and VMware environments, coordinate with vendors, gather requirements, design solutions, provide 2nd and 3rd line support, drive standardization,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience with physical and virtual infrastructure.
• 5+ years of experience managing Microsoft Azure and VMware.
• 5+ years working with Enterprise SAN & NAS storage, storage fabrics, replication, backup and recovery solutions.
• Extensive experience supporting overseas working environments.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure & cloud management across Asia Pacific region — plans, configures and maintains systems and storage operations.
• Acts as technology expert and vendor coordinator to ensure smooth operations.
• Gathers requirements, evaluates technologies, and recommends Azure-based solutions.
• Provides 2nd and 3rd tier support for escalated cases, coordinating with vendors as needed.
• Develops processes, documentation, metrics and reports to drive standardization and compliance.
• Collaborates on security, resilience, vulnerability/patch management, backup and restore drills, with managed services vendors.

What you will do

• Infrastructure & cloud management — plans, develops, configures, implements, administers and maintains systems and storage operations across Asia Pacific region
• Technology expertise — serves as both a technology expert and vendor coordinator, ensuring smooth operations and collaboration
• Project responsibilities — gathers requirements, evaluates technologies, and recommends solutions on Microsoft Azure
• Advanced support — provides 2nd and 3rd tier support for escalated cases, coordinating with vendors when necessary
• Process & compliance — develops processes, documentation, metrics and reports to drive standardization and ensure infrastructure compliance
• Security & resilience — collaborates with managed services vendors on vulnerability/patch management, monitoring and conducts regular backup and restore drills
• Subject matter expertise — specialized in systems and storage management on Azure, VMware and SAN/NAS Storage

What you will bring

• Educational background — bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
• Endpoint expertise — over 8 years working with physical and virtual infrastructure
• Cloud proficiency — more than 5 years of experience managing Microsoft Azure and VMware
• Storage management — 5+ years working with Enterprise SAN & NAS storage, Storage fabrics, Replication, backup and recovery solutions
• Regional solutions — extensive experience with supporting overseas working environments
