Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of IT Infrastructure experience with hands-on and architectural expertise in enterprise server, storage, backup and virtualization

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design and technology roadmap for enterprise infrastructure platforms (compute, virtualization, storage, backup, recovery).
• Design and review high-availability, mission-critical infrastructure to meet continuity, security, performance and regulatory needs.
• Develop standards, reference architectures, governance and best practices across server, storage, backup and virtualization.
• Provide architectural guidance for infrastructure transformation and platform modernization.
• Collaborate with application, cybersecurity, network, cloud and project teams for end-to-end alignment.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and conduct proofs-of-concept for infra investments.
• Act as senior technical authority for infrastructure projects; support design reviews and risk assessments.
• Oversee capacity planning, performance optimization, disaster recovery design, lifecycle management.
• Provide architectural oversight for hybrid on-prem and cloud environments.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to capability development within IT Infra.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design and technology roadmap for enterprise infrastructure platforms covering compute, virtualization, storage, backup and recovery services.
• Design and review highly available, resilient and mission-critical infrastructure solutions to meet business continuity, security, performance and regulatory requirements.
• Develop infrastructure standards, reference architectures, technical governance and best practices across server, storage, backup and virtualization domains.
• Provide architectural guidance for infrastructure transformation, technology refresh, platform modernization and data centre initiatives.
• Collaborate with application, cybersecurity, network, cloud and project teams to ensure end-to-end solution alignment and successful delivery.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and conduct technical assessments, proof-of-concepts and recommendations for infrastructure investments.
• Act as the senior technical authority for infrastructure-related projects, supporting solution design reviews, risk assessments and troubleshooting of complex issues.
• Oversee capacity planning, performance optimization, disaster recovery design and infrastructure lifecycle management.
• Provide architectural oversight for hybrid environments spanning on-premises and cloud-hosted platforms.
• Mentor infrastructure engineers and contribute to technical capability development across the IT Infrastructure team.

Requirements

• Diploma's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines.
• Minimum 15 years of IT Infrastructure experience, with substantial hands-on and architectural expertise in enterprise server, storage, backup and virtualization technologies.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise computing platforms, virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V or equivalent), storage platforms, backup solutions and disaster recovery architecture.
• Demonstrated experience designing and implementing mission-critical, high-availability and business-critical infrastructure environments.
• Solid understanding of network infrastructure fundamentalsExperience in infrastructure architecture governance, solution review, technical standards formulation and vendor management.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms and hybrid-cloud architectures would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) is mandatory.
