Job summary

HKSlash Information Technology Manager will be primarily responsible for leading and delivering IT/GIS projects for the Lands Department, including developing computer systems and providing strong technical support.

The role includes advising in-house and contracted IT staff on upgrades, optimization and maintenance of IT/GIS applications, managing outsourced vendors, and offering strategic guidance on IT/GIS infrastructure, security risks, and system integration across Bureaux/Departments.

• Oversee outsourced vendors for IT/GIS project delivery or services.
• Advise on IT/GIS infrastructure, security, and risk controls; ensure QA and integration between Bureaux/Departments.

Information Technology Manager

• (a) managing and providing technical support in implementation of IT/GIS projects and developing computer systems for the Lands Department;
• (b) managing and providing technical advices to in-house and contract IT staff for provision of system upgrade, system optimization and enhancement, and maintenance support services for IT/GIS applications in the Lands Department;
• (c) providing technical support for managing outsourced vendors for IT/GIS project implementation or provision of IT/GIS services;
• (d) providing technical advices and support to the Lands Department for implementing optimal solutions for IT/GIS infrastructure and server farms, inventory review, resource evaluation, etc.;
• (e) providing technical advices and support for quality assurance and control, security risks and control on IT/GIS aspects;
• (f) providing professional advices on system integration between Bureaux/Departments; and
