Job summary

Jefferies Hong Kong seeks a high-caliber Investment Banking Analyst / Associate to join our team, focusing on General Industrials transactions across Asia. You will work with senior bankers and clients on M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory, contributing to deal origination and execution.

The role requires strong financial modelling, valuation, and presentation skills, with Mandarin fluency; prior IB experience in M&A or capital markets is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or related discipline; MBA/CFA advantageous.
• 3–4 years of IB experience, with exposure to M&A, capital markets, leveraged finance or related transactions.
• Prior General Industrials sector coverage preferred; strong transaction experience in other sectors accepted.
• Advanced financial modelling and valuation capabilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support senior deal teams in origination, structuring, and execution of M&A, equity and debt transactions and strategic advisory mandates.
• Perform industry and company research, financial analysis, and valuation assessments to support execution.
• Develop and maintain financial models, valuations, client presentations, and pitch materials.
• Coordinate due diligence, manage virtual data rooms, and collaborate with legal and compliance to facilitate execution.
• Build relationships with clients, investors and industry participants to support growth and opportunities.
• Mentor and train junior team members where appropriate.
