Victoria-Shanghai-Academy in Hong Kong invites applications for a Mathematics teacher for the 2027/08 school year. The ideal candidate holds an undergraduate Mathematics degree and a recognized teaching qualification, with experience in subject enrichment and IB MYP/DP.

They should work well in a large team, coordinate short- and medium-term planning, and uphold a commitment to student-centered inquiry-based learning, pastoral care, homeroom and PSHE responsibilities, and a growth mindset.

Qualifications

VSA is now recruiting an enthusiastic and committed teacher for the above position for the school year beginning August 2027.
The ideal candidate will have:

• An undergraduate degree in Mathematics and a recognized teaching qualification

• A passion for teaching Mathematics and experience with subject enrichment

• An ability to work in a large team and to coordinate their own short- and medium-term planning with others

• Familiarity with and ideally experience teaching IB MYP/DP

• A commitment to student centred inquiry based learning

• Enthusiasm for pastoral care and building strong relationships with students; this includes homeroom teacher and PSHE responsibilities

• A growth-mindset, looking to continually improve

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to a new cultural environment
