Job summary

HKUST invites a high-caliber candidate to join Building Services (Operation & Maintenance) – HVAC Division. The appointee will operate and maintain HVAC installations, ensure safe and efficient system performance, and supervise both in-house staff and contractors.

The role requires a Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience and registration as an electrical worker.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Must be a registered electrical worker.
• Good command of English and Chinese (Putonghua) and MS Office; AutoCAD is essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise in-house staff and outside contractors.
• Monitor manpower and material resources for routine repair and maintenance.
• Coordinate with internal parties, campus users and contractors on planned PM, daily operations, replacements and upgrades.
• Assist in testing and commissioning of new and renovation projects.
• Engage in hands-on work on building services facilities.
• Prepare reports using MS Office applications.
• Perform shift duties and attend emergency duties.
