Job summary

HKUST invites a qualified professional to join the Building Services (Operation & Maintenance) Team (Electrical Division) to support operation and maintenance of electrical installations across campus.

The appointee will supervise staff and contractors, design tender documents, coordinate inspections, and liaise with campus users to ensure safe, reliable energy services. Proactive, bilingual candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience over staff and contractors.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and construction documentation.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Putonghua) with good writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise in-house staff and service contractors.
• Design and prepare tender documents, specifications and drawings.
• Coordinate maintenance, operations, and upgrades for electrical services.
• Attend hand-overs of new/renovation projects and prepare defect lists.
• Perform overnight shift duty and respond to emergencies.
