Job summary

Crowne Plaza hotel in Hong Kong is seeking a Fitness & Recreation Attendant to schedule and promote fitness, sport and recreation activities for guests and staff. You will coordinate with groups, handle requests, and ensure activities align with health and wellness goals.

The role requires knowledge of fitness principles, nutrition basics, and the ability to teach various exercise techniques. A CPR/First Aid certification and 1 year of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Communication skills are used a significant amount of time when interacting with others.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule fitness, sport and recreation activities.
• Attend group and function rundown meetings to ensure inclusion of appropriate recreation activities.
• Market and promote fitness, sport and recreation activities.
• Handle all requests regarding fitness, sport and recreation activities.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the general principles of fitness and training, concepts of health and the effects of exercise on the human body.
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the general principles of nutrition and influence on the performance of exercise activities.
• Trace relevant statistics about innovative fitness, sport and recreation activities with a view to implement.
• Assist departments in developing attitudes of health and well-being of staff through fitness, sport and recreation programs.
• Select and maintain a range of fitness activities and equipment.
• Teach a multitude of exercise techniques from a variety of fitness scenarios.
• Program exercises for individual guests as requested.
