Job summary

Cutting Edge Recruitment is seeking a Director of Learning and Development (Holistic Education) responsible for leading the Education department, delivering holistic programs and guiding staff in alignment with the organization’s mission and strategy.

The Head of Education reports to the Executive Director and participates in the Management Team, overseeing budgets, program development, inter-department collaboration, and external representation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in an educational institution, including a leadership role.
• Experience developing, facilitating, and marketing transformative education programs, retreats, and learning events that reconnect people with nature.
• Excellent people management skills to lead a team in a flat management structure.
• Good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage, deliver, and evaluate holistic education programs.
• Prepare the annual budget and 5-year financial plan for the Education department.
• Facilitate collaboration between departments.
• Recruit, train, develop, and assist staff on projects and provide feedback.
• Represent the organization at conferences and symposia.
• Oversee the creation of education program documents, web pages, and other materials.
• Be an effective spokesperson in the media on holistic education issues.
