Job summary

King Deux Search & Consulting has partnered with a sizeable Hong Kong conglomerate seeking a Head of Learning & Development to lead the group-wide training strategy and execution. Based at the Hong Kong headquarters, you will manage a small L&D team and shape development roadmaps for 300 staff, while supporting Mainland China initiatives.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in Learning & Development or HR with focus on training delivery.
• Experience in conglomerates, property, fashion retail, or large-scale corporate environments is advantageous.
• Ability to partner with Mainland China teams and manage vendor networks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute an annual L&D strategy and training calendar encompassing mandatory programmes and leadership development.
• Advise senior leadership with year-long development roadmaps aligned with business priorities.
• Oversee external and internal training delivery; source and manage consultants for specialised programmes.
• Guide the in-house L&D team in delivering training for junior to senior staff.
• Design and coordinate team development activities and offsite engagements.
• Lead end-to-end programme management including needs analysis, budgeting, scheduling, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with Mainland China teams to support PRC-based functions and occasional day trips.
• Support group-level ad-hoc initiatives driven by senior executives and new business units.
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external L&D providers.
