Job summary

Robert Half Hong Kong Limited is seeking a high-calibre Fund Accountant in Hong Kong to manage NAV oversight for hedge fund portfolios and lead related financial reporting. You will review NAVs prepared by fund administrators and perform valuations with a focus on accuracy and controls.

The role suits a candidate with 3–6 years in hedge funds operations, a CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent, and a background in long/short equity exposure. A strong collaborative approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Qualified Accountant (CPA/ACCA/CA) preferred.
• 3–6 years of hedge funds experience.
• Exposure to Long/Short equity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full spectrum of fund accounting and NAV for hedge funds.
• Review NAV calculations daily/weekly/monthly prepared by administrators.
• Conduct portfolio valuation reviews and investigate valuation exceptions.
• Reconcile fund positions, cash, and investments with custodians.
• Coordinate with external administrators, auditors, brokers, custodians, and teams.
• Review fund expenses, management and incentive fees, and investor allocations.
• Support fund launches, restructurings, and strategic initiatives.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and management reporting.
