Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong is seeking a Headwaiter/Headwaitress to lead the Food & Beverage service team. Based in Hong Kong, you will supervise daily operations and ensure services meet the hotel’s set standards, reporting to the Restaurant Manager.

We require 4 years in Food & Beverage with hotel experience preferred; strong leadership and English/Cantonese skills are essential, Mandarin is an advantage. MS Office proficiency is expected, with MOstay and wellness benefits offered.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Food & Beverage Service Division in Hong Kong, the Headwaiter/Headwaitress is responsible for supervising the daily operation and ensuring that the services provided are up to the hotel’s s set standards. The Headwaiter/Headwaitress reports to the Restaurant Manager.

As Headwaiter/Headwaitress, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Supervise the food products and services provided by the department
• Help with the training plans and carry out training sessions
• Maintain staff discipline and cooperation
• Inspect the cleanliness of all service equipment and side boards
• Prepare the duty roster for the service staff

As Headwaiter/Headwaitress, we expect from you:

• 4 years working experience in Food & Beverage and experience in 5-star hotel is highly preferred
• Sound knowledge in wine would be an advantage
• Computer literature including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Fluent in English and Cantonese, knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage
• Good leadership an organizational skills and excellent communication skills
