Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group Limited, based in Hong Kong, seeks a Headwaiter/Headwaitress to lead the Food & Beverage Service team. You will supervise daily operations, uphold luxury service standards, and report to the Restaurant General Manager.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Food & Beverage Service Division in Hong Kong, the Headwaiter/Headwaitress is responsible for supervising the daily operation and ensuring that the services provided are up to the hotel’s s set standards. The Headwaiter/Headwaitress reports to the Restaurant General Manager.

As Headwaiter/Headwaitress, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Supervise the food products and services provided by the department
• Help with the training plans and carry out training sessions
• Maintain staff discipline and cooperation
• Inspect the cleanliness of all service equipment and side boards
• Prepare the duty roster for the service staff

As Headwaiter/Headwaitress, we expect from you:

• At least 5 yearsof experiencein Food & Beverage andwith minimum 2 years experience at supervisory level. Experience in5-star hotel is highly preferred
• Computer literature including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Fluent in English and Cantonese, knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage
• Strong leadership an organizational skills and excellent communication skills
• Good customer service skills and able to work under pressure
