Job summary

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong invites applications for a Headwaiter/Headwaitress position within The Aubrey's Food & Beverage team. Based in Hong Kong, you will supervise daily service operations and ensure standards are met.

You should have 5+ years in F&B with at least 2 years in supervision, strong leadership and language skills, and comfort with Excel/Word. Mandarin a plus and English/Cantonese required.

About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Food & Beverage Service Division in Hong Kong, the Headwaiter/Headwaitress is responsible for supervising the daily operation and ensuring that the services provided are up to the hotel’s s set standards. The Headwaiter/Headwaitress reports to the Restaurant Manager.

As Headwaiter/Headwaitress, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Supervise the food products and services provided by the department
• Help with the training plans and carry out training sessions
• Maintain staff discipline and cooperation
• Inspect the cleanliness of all service equipment and side boards
• Prepare the duty roster for the service staff

As Headwaiter/Headwaitress, we expect from you:

• 5 years working experience in Food & Beverage and with minimum 2 years experience at supervisory level. Experience in 5-star hotel is highly preferred
• Sound knowledge in wine would be an advantage
• Computer literature including Microsoft Excel and Word
• Fluent in English and Cantonese, knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage
• Strong leadership an organizational skills and excellent communication skills
• Good customer service skills and able to work under pressure
