Job summary

CMB Wing Lung Bank Limited is seeking a senior Investment Operations leader to manage the Investment Operations Section in Hong Kong. The role involves planning, staffing, directing and controlling all transaction processing activities for Retail and Wealth Management clients.

Responsibilities include driving automation, implementing new systems, and ensuring risk controls and regulatory compliance per HKMA and SFC guidelines, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to launch

Qualifications

• Degree holder preferable in Business, Finance, Accounting or other relevant disciplines.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant banking experience with at least 5 years management experience in investment operations.
• Sound knowledge in process improvement methodologies plus demonstrated experience in effective control and change management in operational environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills.
• Thorough understanding of different financial instruments and operations flow.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese.
• Familiar with HKMA and SFC regulatory requirements and market practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to support the operation services of Investment Operations Section while achieving operational efficiency and effectiveness for Retail and Wealth Management clients.
• Manage and monitor the implementation of new systems, product launches, and cross-departmental projects in line with business strategies.
• Drive automation, process optimisation and applying new technology solutions to day-to-day operations.
• Develop and implement comprehensive operational procedures with control and regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with clients, insurance companies, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders to support daily operations and resolve issues.
• Support business as a subject matter expert to launch new investment products, services and distribution channels.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify best practices and contribute to bank success.
• Define and implement KPI measurement across the team for performance management.
• Ensure competency across the team in required skills and knowledge.
• Identify areas for improvement and drive productivity and operational excellence.
• Responsible for overall resources and performance planning of the team.
