Job summary

Hong Leong Bank Berhad Hong Kong Branch seeks a hands-on generalist leader to head a lean team responsible for secure, HKMA-compliant Technology & Operations at the Hong Kong branch. You will manage daily banking operations, IT infrastructure, outsourcing, and local risk mitigation while ensuring regulatory adherence.

You will mentor a lean team, liaise with Head Office and external auditors, and drive automation initiatives across core banking systems and processes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Banking or related discipline.
• 8-10 years of corporate/wholesale banking operations and/or IT management experience.
• Hands-on generalist who can navigate ambiguity in a lean environment.
• Fluency in English; Cantonese/Mandarin preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a lean team of technology and operations professionals to ensure secure, HKMA-compliant operations.
• Oversee daily banking operations including back-office processes, remittances, and settlement
• Manage local IT infrastructure and outsourcing to ensure high availability and regulatory compliance
• Ensure compliance with HKMA guidance, TM-G-1 and SA-2, and conduct due diligence on vendors
• Serve as liaison between the branch, Head Office, and external auditors
• Drive automation trends and provide strategic business support
