Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in IT, CS, Data Science or equivalent.
• At least 10 years IT experience with 5+ years in leadership within banking/finance.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management.
• Extensive experience in large-scale data projects and enterprise data warehouses.
• Expertise in SQL, ETL, data modeling, and reporting tools.
• Knowledge of data governance and HKMA regulatory reporting desirable.
• Fluent in English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Data Section to deliver data-related system services aligned with business goals.
• Prioritize data projects and change requests in line with objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee SDLC for data projects ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget compliance.
• Communicate with product owners and management on statuses, issues, risks.
• Provide timely technical support and issue resolution for data systems.
• Review and enhance capacity of data platforms to support growth.
• Oversee development and management of data teams; mentor staff.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors from tendering to post-implementation support.
• Provide technical leadership and foster continuous learning.
