Job summary

Hong Kong Housing Society is seeking a Senior Manager (Maintenance - Building Services) to lead maintenance, improvement and operation of building services installations across a sizeable property portfolio in Hong Kong. The role ensures safety, reliability and performance of building services systems.

The candidate will plan preventive programmes, lead fault diagnosis, manage contracts, oversee improvements and major projects, and mentor technical staff while providing expert advice on design,

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
• Recognised professional qualification in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years' relevant experience in building services engineering, including at least 5 years' post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience in design and development of new building projects.
• Strong knowledge of building services systems, engineering practices, relevant ordinances and regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership with experience supervising technical teams.
• Strong project management, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement preventive maintenance programmes for building services installations.
• Lead fault diagnosis and recovery during major system failures and coordinate contingency actions for serious incidents.
• Administer maintenance and repair contracts and resolve technical and contractual issues with contractors.
• Recommend and manage improvement works to enhance safety, resident comfort and operational efficiency.
• Control major improvement projects from planning and design through testing, commissioning and completion, ensuring cost, quality and programme targets are achieved.
• Coordinate the handover of new development projects and oversee defect rectification processes.
• Lead and develop technical staff to ensure effective delivery of maintenance services.
• Provide professional advice to customers and stakeholders on building services design, operation and maintenance.
