Job summary

The Nesbitt Centre Limited invites applications for Head Chef at our new café inside the Hong Kong Wetland Park. The role combines western cuisine with local Hong Kong flavors, serving breakfast and lunch with event catering support.

Lead a welcoming, inclusive kitchen, design menus, manage costs, and ensure top-tier food quality and safety in a high-profile location.

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of relevant chef experience in western restaurants in Hong Kong.
• Strong culinary skills with creativity in menu development.
• Ability to lead and inspire a kitchen team.
• Experience working with staff with Special Educational Needs (SEN) will be given priority consideration.
• Language: Cantonese & Basic English.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute menus featuring western cuisine with local HK influences.
• Lead kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
• Supervise and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
• Control food costs and contribute to overall café profitability.
• Manage inventory, supplier relationships.
• Support event catering (canapés, buffets) with creative menu offerings.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.

Join us as Head Chef at our new café in the Hong Kong Wetland Park, where western cuisine meets local Hong Kong flavors.

Work Location: The Hong Kong Wetland Park, New Territories, Hong Kong
Cafe Opening Hours: 6 days per week (closed on Tues) 10am - 5pm
Start Date: December 2026 (latest January 2027)

The Nesbitt Centre (https://www.nesbittcentre.org.hk) has been empowering adults with learning disabilities since 1993 through vocational education and inclusive social enterprises.

We are about to open a new concept café located inside the Hong Kong Wetland Park. Our café combines western cuisine with local Hong Kong flavors, serving premium & light dishes for breakfast and lunch, alongside event catering services. We value innovation, inclusivity, and culinary excellence.
