Job summary

SINGAPORE PHARMATECH PTE. LTD. in Hong Kong is seeking a dedicated Halal Officer to oversee the Halal Management System, ensuring compliance with MUIS Halal requirements and relevant GMP standards.

You will coordinate internal and external audits, maintain Halal documentation, and train teams across Production, QA, QC, and Purchasing to sustain Halal compliance throughout manufacturing in a GMP-certified health supplement environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in Halal compliance or food manufacturing.
• Prior experience in QC/QA or Halal certification within food/pharma/nutrition sectors is an advantage.
• Knowledge of MUIS Halal Certification requirements.
• Halal Competency Assessment (HCA) Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with MUIS Halal requirements, GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
• Liaise with MUIS, certification bodies, and authorities on Halal matters.
• Prepare, maintain, and update Halal documentation, records, and SOPs.
• Conduct internal Halal audits and coordinate external audits.
• Train employees on Halal policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Investigate and resolve Halal non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Perform quality control inspections on materials, in-process production, and finished products.
• Work with Production, QA, QC, and Purchasing to ensure Halal compliance throughout manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the company's Halal certification.
• Ensure compliance with MUIS Halal requirements, GMP, HACCP, and food safety regulations.
• Liaise with MUIS, certification bodies, and relevant authorities on Halal-related matters.
• Prepare, maintain, and update Halal documentation, records, and SOPs.
• Conduct internal Halal audits and coordinate external audits.
• Train employees on Halal policies, procedures, and best practices.

• Perform quality control inspections on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
• Work closely with Production, QA, QC, and Purchasing teams to ensure Halal compliance throughout the manufacturing process.
• Support other quality assurance and regulatory activities as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in Halal compliance or food manufacturing.
• Prior experience in Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), or Halal certification within the food, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical industry is an advantage.
• Knowledge of MUIS Halal Certification requirements.

• Possession of aHalal Competency Assessment (HCA) Certificate is preferred.

• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
