Job summary

HTK is seeking an (Asst) Group Insurance Manager in Hong Kong to support the AVP of Group Insurance. You will advise corporate units on insurance risk, oversee claims, review contracts, and manage annual policy renewals.

The role involves negotiating terms with brokers and insurers, conducting site visits, and preparing executive-level reports for senior management approval. You will also lead renewal underwriting, oversee claims lifecycle, and contribute to budgeting and data visualizations

Qualifications

University degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, Business, Engineering, or related field.
ACII, ANZIIF or equivalent professional qualifications preferred.
5–10 years of corporate insurance or risk management experience.
Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin).

Responsibilities

Corporate advisory: serve as primary contact on insurance risk exposure, coverage strategies, and claims management.
Contract analysis: evaluate and negotiate insurance terms to protect assets and mitigate liabilities.
Broker & insurer management: negotiate terms, premiums, and invoicing with brokers and insurers.
Risk assessment & site visits: lead surveys to secure underwriting outcomes before risk inception and renewals.
Financial & executive reporting: analyze data, forecast budgets, and prepare executive presentations.
Renewal underwriting: manage end-to-end renewal processes with careful review of cover notes.
Claims management: oversee lifecycle with insurers and loss adjusters for prompt settlements.
